Terms of Service

Last updated · Gully Labs LLC, Oregon, USA

These terms are an agreement between Gully Labs LLC (“Gully Labs”, “we”, “us”) and you, the person or business using Gully Chain. By using any of the services below you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

What these terms cover

These terms cover the following services, which we call “Gully Chain” or “the services”:

  • the Gully Chain Testnet blockchain (chain ID 485590) and its public RPC endpoints, such as testnet-rpc.gullychain.xyz
  • gullychain.xyz, the developer docs at docs.gullychain.xyz and the developer portal at dev.gullychain.xyz
  • the block explorer at testnet-explorer.gullychain.xyz (explorer.gullychain.xyz points to it until mainnet)
  • the bridge at testnet-bridge.gullychain.xyz
  • the testnet faucet at faucet.gullychain.xyz
  • Gully Safe at safe.gullychain.xyz
  • the Gully Core DEX and launchpad contracts, Gully Quests, .gully names and the sponsored-gas paymaster on Gully Chain

Sign-in uses Gully ID (opens in a new tab), a separate Gully Labs service with its own terms (opens in a new tab) and privacy policy (opens in a new tab). Keyed RPC access through Gully RPC is covered by the Gully RPC terms (opens in a new tab). Apps that other people build on Gully Chain are theirs, not ours, and their own terms apply.

How we handle personal data is in the Gully Chain Privacy Policy.

What Gully Chain is, and that it is a testnet

Gully Chain is a blockchain network built with Arbitrum Orbit (a “Layer 3”) and run by Gully Labs. Today only the test network is live: Gully Chain Testnet, chain ID 485590, which settles to Arbitrum Sepolia. Gully Labs runs its sequencer, nodes and the public endpoints. There is no Gully Chain mainnet yet; nothing on these pages describes a mainnet as live.

Testnet assets have no value. Testnet ETH, USDC.e, tokens, coins, names, quest rewards, prizes and balances have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed for anything, and must not be sold or promised as having value. The testnet can be paused, reset or changed at any time, and balances or history may be lost. Nothing on the testnet carries over to a future mainnet unless we say so in writing.

Who may use the services

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
  • You may not use the services if you, or anyone you act for, are the target of sanctions (including those administered by the US Treasury’s OFAC, the UN, the EU or the UK), or are in a country or region under comprehensive sanctions.
  • You must not use a VPN or other tools to get around a restriction based on where you are.
  • If you use the services for a company, you accept these terms for it and confirm you may do so.
  • You are responsible for following the laws that apply to you.

Your wallet, your keys

Gully Chain is self-custodial. Your account is controlled by your own wallet, passkey or smart account. We do not hold your keys and cannot move, freeze or recover your funds or assets. Gully Safe is our build of the open-source Safe{Wallet} interface: a non-custodial multisig, where the Safe accounts you create are smart contracts you and your co-signers control, not accounts at Gully Labs. Transactions need the signatures your Safe requires; we cannot sign for you.

You are responsible for your devices, keys, passkeys, signers and recovery settings. If you lose them, we cannot get your assets back.

Transactions are public and final

Transactions on Gully Chain and on Arbitrum are public and permanent. We cannot reverse, cancel or edit them. Check the address, amount and network before you sign. Anyone can deploy a token or contract on Gully Chain; a token appearing on the chain, in our explorer, on a token list or on the Gully Core launchpad is not an endorsement by us.

The bridge

The bridge moves testnet assets between Arbitrum Sepolia and Gully Chain Testnet through the Arbitrum canonical bridge and a Hyperlane warp route. Withdrawals through the canonical bridge wait out the rollup’s challenge period before they can be claimed. A bridge route can be paused, limited or run out of liquidity, and a transfer may then take longer or need the other route. Tokens that came over a bridge are claims on assets locked in that bridge; if a bridge fails, they can lose what they represent.

Faucet, sponsored gas and names

  • Faucet. After you sign in with Gully ID, the faucet sends 0.003 testnet ETH per address per day. We may change the amount, add checks or stop it.
  • Sponsored gas. Our paymaster pays the gas of some transactions for apps that have a paymaster key. Every account gets a small free daily allowance (10 sponsored operations a day by default; a first account setup and a few first actions are not counted), and Gully Pass holders more, all within per-account, per-IP, per-operation and daily limits. When the allowance is used up, you pay gas from your own account. We may change these limits at any time.
  • .gully names. Names are first come, first served, for a one-time price by length on the testnet ($1 for 4 or more characters, $25 for 3, $100 for 2, $250 for 1, paid in testnet USDC.e). Brand names are reserved. A name is a record on a public blockchain, not a trademark right, and we may reclaim names that impersonate others or break these terms.
  • Quests. Quests, XP, badges, points and their rewards have no cash value and do not entitle you to any token, airdrop, revenue or yield.

Gully Core contracts and open source

Gully Core is the DEX and launchpad core of Gully Chain: smart contracts that run on their own once a transaction is submitted. They are derived from open-source contracts of the PancakeSwap Infinity lineage and are licensed GPL-2.0-or-later, as is our fork; the upstream credit is in the Gully Core source. Smart contracts can have bugs. Some contracts written by Gully Labs have not had an independent security audit.

Code we publish in public repositories comes under the licence in each repository, which governs that code instead of these terms.

No investment, no advice

Nothing on Gully Chain is an offer of securities, an investment, or a promise of profit. Prices, charts, holder data and statistics on our sites are information only, can be late or wrong, and are not financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Make your own decisions and only use what you can afford to lose.

Acceptable use

You will not, and will not help anyone else to:

  • use the services for anything illegal, for fraud, phishing, scams, money laundering, terrorist financing or to evade sanctions;
  • attack, overload, probe or get around the security, rate limits or access controls of the chain, the endpoints, the faucet or the paymaster (report security issues to us instead);
  • farm the faucet, the paymaster or quests with automated or fake accounts;
  • manipulate markets, deploy malicious contracts aimed at other users, or impersonate anyone, including Gully Labs;
  • use our names, logos, mascots or badges to suggest we endorse you when we do not.

We may limit, block or stop access to the services we run (for example an RPC key, a faucet claim, sponsored gas or a front end) if we think you broke these terms. We cannot change what is already on chain.

Fees

The testnet is free to use apart from network gas, which is paid in testnet ETH. Where a contract charges a fee (for example a .gully name or a Gully Core trade), the amount is set by the contract and shown before you sign. If we add paid services later, their price and terms will be shown before you pay, and payments go through Gully Pay.

Changes and availability

The services are in active development. We may add, change, limit or stop any part of them, including the testnet itself, at any time. We do not promise any uptime; the status of each service is on status.gullylabs.xyz (opens in a new tab).

We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top, and for a material change we say so on gullychain.xyz before it takes effect. Using the services after that means you accept the new terms.

Our rights and your content

The Gully Chain and Gully Labs names, logos, mascots, brand kits, sites and their design belong to Gully Labs. These terms give you the right to use the services, not ownership of them. What you put on chain is public; what you send us (for example in an email) stays yours, and you give us permission to use it to answer you and run the services. If you send ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

Third-party services

The services depend on others we do not control: Arbitrum and Ethereum (Gully Chain settles to them, and their outages or upgrades affect it), Hyperlane, Safe, wallets, Cloudflare and other networks. Their own terms apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for them.

Disclaimers

The services are provided “as is” and “as available”. Blockchains can halt, fork, reorganise or congest; bridges, sequencers and nodes can fail; data shown in the explorer or on our sites can be wrong or late. To the maximum extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties and conditions, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, Gully Labs LLC is not liable for lost profits, revenue, data, tokens or opportunities, or for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, and is not liable for losses from transactions you sign, assets sent to a wrong address, smart contract bugs, third-party protocols or lost keys. Our total liability for all claims about the services is limited to the fees you paid Gully Labs for them in the prior 12 months. This never limits money we already owe you, and nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Gully Labs against claims by others, and the resulting losses, costs and reasonable legal fees, that come from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the services, or your violation of law or of someone else’s rights.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about them or the services goes to the state or federal courts located in Oregon, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction, except where consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live. If a part of these terms is invalid, the rest stays in force; not enforcing a part is not a waiver of it.
