Guides
Get testnet ETH, then build
Gully Chain uses ETH for gas. You bring it over from Arbitrum Sepolia through the bridge.
- Fastest: use the faucetThe Gully faucet sends 0.001 ETH straight to your address on Gully Chain, once a day. Enough for a few deploys. For more, bridge as below.
- Get Sepolia ETHUse a public Sepolia faucet, for example the Google Cloud Web3 faucet or a proof-of-work faucet. Testnet ETH is free and has no value.
- Move it to Arbitrum SepoliaOn bridge.arbitrum.io, bridge from Sepolia to Arbitrum Sepolia. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes. Some faucets pay on Arbitrum Sepolia directly.
- Bridge to Gully ChainOpen the Gully Bridge, connect your wallet and deposit. ETH arrives on Gully Chain in about a minute.
- DeployPoint your tools at the RPC below. Any EVM contract works, and Stylus lets you write contracts in Rust.
# deploy a contract forge create src/Counter.sol:Counter \ --rpc-url https://testnet-rpc.gullychain.xyz \ --account dev --broadcast # read the latest block cast block-number --rpc-url https://testnet-rpc.gullychain.xyz
// hardhat.config.ts

Deployed addresses
Standard contracts sit at the same addresses as on Ethereum mainnet, so existing tooling finds them. Each address links to the explorer.

Notes
Good to know
Why does block height move in jumps?
Nitro chains make a block only when there is a transaction to include. A quiet testnet can go minutes without a new block. That is normal and not downtime.
Can I withdraw back to Arbitrum Sepolia?
Withdrawals can be started now, but they finish only after the validator confirms them on Arbitrum Sepolia. The validator is being staked. Until then, treat bridged ETH as one-way.
Will the testnet be reset?
It may be, as the chain moves toward mainnet. Do not keep anything on it you cannot redeploy.
Is there a mainnet?
Not yet. Mainnet will settle to Arbitrum One. Follow @Gully_Labs for timing.
Where do I get help?
